Antwerp has many green and peaceful spots providing plenty of opportunities to wind down and relax. Discover different nature beauty spots, each with their own individual character and charm.

Rivierenhof

Antwerp’s biggest green lung is just a stone’s throw from the bustling inner city. The Rivierenhof is 130 hectares of walking, cycling, jogging and simply enjoying a magical nature beauty spot. Stop off for a drink and snack on the terrace of the majestic castle. During the summer months visitors can enjoy music and theatre in the unique open air theatre.

Hobokense Polder

The Hobokense Polder is one of Antwerp’s most beautiful green spots. It is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours out in the countryside. On a bend in the River Scheldt close to the city, Natuurpunt is letting nature run its course as far as is possible. The result is a varied landscape - from polders over swamp to forest – and no less than 500 different plants.

Middelheim Park

Antwerp is proud of its unique open air museum. The Middelheim Museum has around 400 works of art in its collection. Walk under stately trees, along wide paths and across inviting fields and you will come across sculptures by big names such as Auguste Rodin, Rik Wouters, Henry Moore, Juan Muñoz, Carl Andre, Panamarenko, Franz West, Erwin Wurm and plenty more. Enjoy the ultimate fusion of art and nature in the open air.
