But where do you find these people? Is there a magical place in Antwerp where ideas flow? YES there is! Every first monday of the month at 8.30 pm, all the creative minds in our city come together and show the world what they've got. Poets, singers, rappers and comedians grab the mic and entertain the crowd. It's and open mic concept so everyone is welcome to participate! The first open mic is hosted the 3rd of December. And it was a success.

So where is this magical creative pool of amazingness? Its right in in the centre of the city ! It's called Kavka and it's a very cozy youth centre where all the youngsters in Antwerp can be found every now and then.

The organizer, Yannick Moyson, is a poet himself. He's been to several open mic's in our city and got inspired by all the talent he saw on stage. After talking to the people from Kavka, he decided to organise a monthly event where all the creative people of Antwerp could show off their talent. Kavka gave him the opportunity to host this event without asking for an entrance fee, which is a great gesture. Yannick is like an Antwerp Clark Kent. He is a poet by night and child care provider by day. The creativeness he needs for his dayjob makes him a great writer.If you ever get the chance to see him perform, i'm sure you'll be amazed.
