Finally, summer is here! And with great weather often comes the urge to swim. Although we've already listed a few in our magazine, we thought it would be nice to give you a list of a few water hotspots so you definitely know where to go!

Park Spoor Noord

Entrance: free

ok, so Park Spoor Noord might not have an actual pool but it does have a big water feature in which a lot of people (mostly kids) love to play and just stick their feet in. The pond is right next to so order a cocktail, find yourself a chair and relax!

Viaduct-Dam 64-80, 2060 Antwerp

BadBoot

Entrance; €4

The is probably the most well know swimming pool in Antwerp. It's located on 't Eilandje and is basically a swimming pool on a boat in a dock! You might want to a spot if you want to go, because it is really popular. During July you can also watch movies late at night, an initiative by called Cinema Urbana, and starts at 11pm from Wednesday till Saturday (it's also free if you don't go in the water).

Kattendijkdok Oostkaai 20, 2000 Antwerp

Boekenberg Zwemvijver

Entrance: free

Boekenberg Zwemvijver is Europe's biggest ecological swimming pond. It's located a bit out of the city centre but it's well worth the trip! Although the entrance is free, you can only stay in the water for 15 minutes at a time (if it's busy)! But not to worry, the pond is enclosed by a beautiful park, so you can just hang out afterwards

Van Baurscheitlaan, 2100 Deurne (Antwerp)

De Molen

Entrance: €4

De Molen is a big open air swimming pool on the left side of the river (Left Bank). It might not be the first place to come to mind when you want to go for a swim but it has a lot of charm and there is a lot to do: take a stroll on St. Anneke Beach, have a picnic and enjoy the most beautiful views you'll find in Antwerp.

Wandeldijk 40, 2050 Left Bank (Antwerp)

Veldstraat

Entrance: €3

Although the isn't an open air swimming pool/pond like all of the above, there are of course those days when the weather sucks and you still want to go for a swim. Well, this swimming pool is gorgeous (built in 1933 in Art Deco style) , authentic and has a lot to offer. After (or before) you've had a swim, you can relax in the herbal baths or hammam (but these are not included in the price).
