I was having a chillaxed morning today when I suddenly received a call. If I wanted to go take a sneak peak at all of the different fun things to do tonight at a in our lovely city? Hello, have we met? Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always down for a spot of shopping. The event tonight is taking place at Antwerp’s most fashionable and alternative shopping street, Kammenstraat.
So off I went to see what all of the different stores would be doing tonight. My first stop was actually not at Kammenstraat, I first went over to the Huidevetterstraat where clothing retailer takes the cake for the most fun things you’ll be able to do tonight. Besides having 3 DJ’s (Calvache, Flo Ris and Tenor) the store made sure to stock up on food & drinks. They teamed up with Antwerp’s infamous , Nespresso, Ice Tea, Red Bull and Maes Radler to quench everyone’s thirst.They also invited candy store Candyville to satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth. They’re also presenting Antwerp’s most creative food cart/bike, the “ ”. That basically translates into food bike. The guy behind this makes delicious food right out of the trunk attached to his bike and by the sound of his online reviews, it is going to be one tasty event over there. Besides all of that, Brooklyn sells jewelry from designer Anne Desauvage, has a make-up course by Jefra Cosmetics and showcases artwork by Stephanie Lopes Simoes. Most importantly, customers enjoy a -10% discount on every item from their new fall collection. Brooklyn is one of Belgium’s biggest retailers in jeans, women’s wear, men’s wear and premium street wear.
So after checking out all of the fun preparations at Brooklyn, I walked to Kammenstraat. I immediately saw trucks parked on the sidewalk stacked with speakers and other DJ gear. My first stop was at the were customers will receive a 10% discount on all camera’s tonight. And when you have that camera, you receive a free voucher for a workshop hosted by the store. I then went across the street to the fairly new , where owner Marlot provides her customers with beautiful dresses, cozy sweaters and edgy accessories. Tonight she’s having a lipbalm & cocktail party in the store. Sweet!
I then went to the small but lovely By Julie shop. If you’re a girl and you love cute stuff, this is THE place to go. Over there the DJ gear was already set up for their main act tonight, Twie-Z-ters. By Julie’s Shop is also collaborating with THEoFIEL, a girl with the best tea’s and infusions in town. Together they are making a hibiscus and gin mix sure to get the flow going tonight.
After that, I headed to one more place, the well-known premium street and urban store . They stock everything from Cheap Monday to Adidas, Nike, Carhartt to Obey and Dr. Martens. Fish&Chips has a great discount ready for everyone who’s planning to update their winter wardrobe tonight. 20% off on the first item, and 35% on the second!
Besides all of this wonderfulness loads of other stores are taking part in the shopping night. Included are Pepe Jeans, Gsus Industries, Sienna & Lois, Fittz, Allsaints Spitalfields, Dstrezzed and many others. Other stores in the neighborhood are also planning a little something something I peeked. Luxury brand Patrizia Pepe for instance, located between the Huidevetterstraat and the Kammenstraat, is hosting an in-store party with DJ’s, fashion, food and a lot of fun.
Tonight is the night if you are into fashion, love a good discount, music, art, food and drinks. Basically everything we’re good at over here in Antwerp. I’m making sure to report everything to all of you who can’t be able to make it tonight (but you really should!)
