When you ask someone on a first D.A.T.E. you want to make a good impression. Gently show that special person why you’re a catch by introducing them to more than just a façade. Find a way to their heart by pointing out what makes you different from all the others. Or how you’re all about the real deal and not about rabbit in a hat tricks. That’s exactly what we’re aiming for when This Is Antwerp decided to set up D.A.T.E.: Discover Antwerp Through Experience.
We invited 12 internationals to spend a D.A.T.E. with Antwerp from the 3rd until the 8th of November. We’ll show them the best hidden secrets, jaunt the hottest places, survive workshops together, enjoy the finest meals and much more. But most important they will meet that one important thing that fuels Antwerp to be the dynamic city that it is today: creative people.
Who are the lucky ones you say? We gathered all our courage, dried our sweaty hand palms one last time and bravely asked out Jeroen Smeets from The Jaunt (Copenhagen), Ebony Bizys from Hello Sandwich (Tokyo), James Greig from Cycle Love (London), Itay Blaish from Tel Avivian (Tel Aviv), Zsuzsanna Toth from Freunde Von Freunden (Berlin), Ariana Diaz Celma from Good2be (Barcelona), Sander Van Loon from MESH & Oona (Rotterdam), Adrian Can Franco (Madrid), Nicole Franzen from La Buena Vida (New York), Robin Cox from Citinerary (Amsterdam), Reynald Feracci from Mamama Paris (Paris) and Malin Henningson (Stockholm).
To get more acquainted with our guests, our own This Is Antwerp locals will gradually shine their light on them for you. We're more than happy to share their findings with you this week.
We’ve had quiet some dates over the years but never like this one. It’s going to be off the hook. We can hardly wait for it to start.
