After a comprehensive renovation, the Plantin-Moretus Museum is reopening with a big party in and around the museum at the Vrijdagmarkt. Choose from inspiring lectures, workshops and demonstrations, unusual visits, a ‘story’ auction, film and painting animations, music performances and a printing marathon in the remarkable, solar-powered press by artist Raphael August Opstaele. On Friday and Saturday night, the facade of this unique UNESCO World Heritage Building comes alive with façade-wide video mapping by the Graphic Design students from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
