During this walk your guide will take you from the Gothic Cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary to Antwerp’s monumental Central Station, which is often referred to as the Railway Cathedral. Architectural gems such as the recently restored royal palace ‘Paleis op de Meir’ , sparkling window displays and the painters Rubens, Van Dyck and Teniers make for a varied walk. For centuries walking along the Meir has been synonymous of a pleasant stroll . You can choose to go in one of two directions on this walk: from west (Grote Markt) to east (Central Station) or from east to west.
